The cone-shaped toilet tank gasket creates a waterproof seal between the toilet tank and the bowl so that water can flow quickly to the flush toilet. When the toilet tank gasket is broken, and the leak will appear in the surrounding bowl and tank bolt floor. Use these tips and tools to do this yourself.
  Step 1: Turn off the water supply flow to the toilet, empty the fuel tank and close the toilet water shut-off valve, and install it into the wall near the floor behind the toilet. Rinse the toilet to clear the water. Adjust the crescent-shaped head wrench to fit the water supply line and disconnect from the toilet tank. A large towel placed on the floor behind the toilet absorbs water splashes.

Step 2: Remove the tank lid and drying tank. Carefully lift the tank lid closed and place it on the quilt or blanket from the work area. The water tank gasket uses a sponge and towel to more completely dry the tank floor and walls.

Step 3: Loosen and remove the water tank bolts with a large flat head screwdriver, try to open the water tank bolts and loosen them counterclockwise and release them. If they are rusted and in place, apply a rust remover and let it infiltrate for 6-8 hours to remove rust and corrosion. Unscrew them with a screwdriver and release the wrench nut.

Step 4: Remove the toilet tank and gasket The toilet tank weighs more than 50 pounds, so if you are not able to lift it yourself, get a help to lift the toilet tank from the bowl. Standing in the tank poured over the towel and blanket from the toilet. Gently remove the old gasket and rubber fragments. Please wipe with alcohol to remove all old rubber tank holes.

Step 5: Place the new gasket and bolt into the tapered end hole of the new toilet tank gasket. Lay the toilet tank to insert bolts from the inside. Miscellaneous pieces of silicone are placed in each bolt with a rubber washer straight to the head, and the insertion bolt is inserted into the bolt hole. Place the second rubber washer on each bolt to exit from the box. Then, bolt the fastening nuts of these bolts. The third rubber washer goes under the nut, with the metal washer underneath it.

Step 6: Reconnect the toilet tank Carefully lift the toilet tank and other gaskets into the toilet hole to align the back and bolt to the toilet. Hold and carefully twist the cans so everything is lined up perfectly. Tighten the bolts slowly and alternately on both sides for proper and horizontal fit. Return the toilet tank to the top of the fuel tank.
