Molded rubber products can be manufactured in a variety of ways using a variety of methods. Rubber injection molding, rubber transfer molding and rubber compression molding. The following silicone manufacturer custom manufacturers introduce these three types to you:

In the first type, rubber injection molding consists of materials that are loaded into a "hopper" where they are heated to the appropriate melting temperature and injected into the mold. The two halves are held together and the cavity is filled and the mold is cooled in stages to a temperature that allows the material to solidify.

The second is rubber transfer molding and includes rubber placed in a portion of the mold, and the mold is closed. Hydraulic pressure is then applied to the top plate and the heated material is forced through the aperture into its solidified cavity. When the mold is open, discard the transfer pad and remove the part from the lower plate.

The third is rubber compression molding and consists of materials that are placed directly into the mold. The mold is then closed and held under hydraulic pressure to cure the material, open the mold, and remove the part. The main difference between compression and transmission is that the uncured rubber is placed on the top of the mold in the pot combination, and the unvulcanized rubber using the closing force of the molding pressure enters the cavity through the small holes. The advantages of compression type are that the production cycle is short, the composite preparation and tools reduce the loading time, the product processing time is reduced, and the transfer can be run in a conventional compression molding machine without special equipment.
